The head coach in the club is Adam Blight, who has worked as a full time professional coach since 1993 and coaches in many other clubs, schools and training events throughout the region.  Fencers trained by Adam from this and other clubs have won National Championships and have represented their country in International events including World, European and Asian Championships and Olympic Games.  Individual instruction outside of club sessions can also be arranged.  For more details of Adam’s coaching, go to

Also coaching at Sheffield Buccaneers is Helen Solly, an experienced and successful fencer who has won medals at National Open competitions, fenced Internationally for Britain at Cadet level, won the Yorkshire Foil Championships and represented Yorkshire many times.  Helen is also well established coach, has a first class degree in sports coaching from Hallam University and works as a School Sports Coordinator for Links School Sports Partnership.
